This year, I had the opportunity to recreate a SIFE
project from last year: a board game based on the
concept of Chutes and Ladders that educates students
on the basics of the U.S. stock market. This game,
called Bulls and Bears, was created entirely by SIFE
members through a website called thegamecrafter.
com. The target audience for the game is Junior High
and High School students.

Thus far, we have played the game with 30 students
from an after-school tutoring program called MIKA. We
currently have two more events with MIKA scheduled
at the end of February. We have also played this game with students from the Boys and Girls Club, and we hope to expand our reach to other community organizations. All events thus far have gone very well and the kids have expressed their newfound understanding for the stock market.
